What is KYC identity verification?
KYC (Know Your Customer) identity verification confirms that a person is genuinely who they claim to be. WeVerify does this with guided document capture, NFC chip reading, and a biometric selfie that checks liveness and matches the face to the ID, before granting access or letting someone sign.
Does WeVerify read the NFC chip in passports and ID cards?
Yes. Where the document supports it, WeVerify reads the encrypted NFC chip directly, which is far harder to forge than a photo of the document and gives a higher level of identity assurance.
Is a selfie check enough to prevent spoofing?
WeVerify combines a liveness check (to defeat photos, masks and replays) with a biometric comparison against the document portrait, and pairs it with NFC chip data where available, so a single spoofed input is not enough to pass.
Can I verify identities through the app and via API?
Both. You can run verifications from the WeVerify app and the no-code UI, or integrate the same flow into your own product with REST APIs, webhooks and SDKs.
